Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions abatement and impacts from climate change are among the most dominant issues affecting politics and business today. Canada currently has the highest per capita GHG emissions of any developed economy and is under increasing international pressure to reduce emissions. As a signatory to the Paris Agreement, the government of Canada has committed to reduce GHG emissions by 40-45% by 2030. This transformation will have dramatic effects on all Canadian businesses and municipalities, including:


    • industrial carbon pricing,
    • new passenger vehicle sales to be zero-emission by 2035,
    • elimination of coal fueled power generation by 2030,
